Single Point Detector
Ocean Optics
Single Point Detector is available with a wide range of detectors from Deep UV to Far IR.
The Ocean Optics Single Point Detector is the ideal tool for high signal-to-noise, single point fiber optic and free-beam measurements.
A single point detector is basically a spectrometer that has a detector with no pixels. Therefore it doesn’t give a spectrum over a wavelength range, but it gives the total number of counts over the whole range.
    Product Highlights
  • Included software and software development kit
  • Software-adjustable gain settings
  • Several triggering modes supported
  • Integrated temperature control for TE cooled detectors
  • Low-noise amplifier and 24-bit A/D converter
  • Integrated dark level offset to increase dynamic range for high-background measurements

Particle Detectors X-Rays
First Sensor AG
The X10-6 is the first product of a new detector line for scattered ionizing radiation.
It's specially developed epoxy based light blocking glob top allows direct detection of X-ray and gamma radiation without perturbing influences of surrounding light sources.

The new product line will also include super low dark current detectors for high performance applications that will be available with scintillator crystals.

Applications includes monitoring of scattered radiation from X-Ray and Gamma-Ray sources to assure workplace safety.
    Main Features
  • Wafer thickness up to 780 µm
  • Very low dark signals
  • Very low capacitances
  • Smallest series resistance at full depletion

Mid-Infrared/Far-Infrared Detectors
Infrared Associates
Special classes of solid-state detectors for very specific applications are Mercury Cadmium Telluride devices. These devices can be manufactured with varying stochiometries to yield detectors that can be sensitive to very long wave infrared radiation.

These devices enable the detection of infrared radiation with relatively high efficiencies. However, due to internal mechanisms these devices are heavily susceptible to high surrounding temperatures.
Cooling to liquid nitrogen temperature will negate much of these effects.
Available in both single channel and multi-channel versions, a host of applications can be covered. Consider for instance the use of MCT-detectors in absorption spectroscopy, 2-D vibrational spectroscopy and ultrafast pump-probe spectroscopy.

Especially with certain types of spectroscopy, it can be beneficial to have a two-line array.
Our supplier, Infrared Associates can meet this demand with its custom array manufacturing.
A system, including data-acquisition electronics gives you access to a complete turnkey solution to move your experiment into the infrared.
